Alternate Evolution

It started as a simple art exercise and took on a life of its own. I wanted to practice drawing animals in poses that existed only in my head, so my wife Cristina made up this game one Christmas morning. We wrote a hundred animal species on slips of paper and placed them in a bowl, and a hundred common human behaviors and cultural references in another. She picked one at random from each, every night for a month, and gave me my prompt. I would immediately sketch the first idea that made me laugh. They were never meant to see the light of day, but my mom talked me into sharing them. Since then, they have brought smiles to thousands, and I hope you'll find one here too.
